My interest in prints and patterns began at an early age. As a little girl I was obsessed with tiny ditsy floral prints and had a closet full of them. My mother joked that they were "emily prints" and I took her literally. Over a decade later I was still pointing out cute florals to my friends as "emily prints", proudly flaunting my knowledge of the proper print terminology. No one ever questioned it, until I made the same comment to my mother and she erupted into laughter. Then it hit me, there was no such thing as an "emily print". Until Now! |
